Harrods, a Knightsbridge department store local to Pimlico Flats, yesterday began selling bars of pure Swiss gold bullion alongside 8 gold coins including the Sovereign. The Gold bars range from 1g (small enough to fit in a lipstick case, perhaps) to 1kg. Reports in the press of Cops and Robbers style bullion bars weighing nearly two stone, and costing nearly £300,000, seem to have been circulated for publicity reasons. Be careful – if you are not entirely satisfied with your gold bullion bar, Harrods refund policy is to tell you to go swivel “we do not refund transactions.”. My personal recommendation for a gold bar is to pop over to the food hall and buy a chocolate gold bar for £9.95, satisfaction guaranteed.
Harrods - close to Pimlico Flats
Whilst Harrods is only a 20 – 30 min walk, if you are carrying a 12.5Kg Gold Bullion Bar back to your flat rented from Pimlico Flats you may prefer to take the No. 52 bus which goes directly from Harrods to Victoria every 4 mins, journey time 11 mins.
