Just as the crowded property search market looked to consolidation and Zoopla’s purchases of Thinkproperty and Propertyfinder made it look as though tenants options for finding their home might simplify, news of new websites is hitting the streets. Whilst Sarah Beeny’s Website for Buying and Selling has been attracting all the publicity, lookalike Bethemiddleman will be offering properties to rent as well as sell. The site launches for real on the 29th August, but from Saturday 15th the Beta version will be live and they are calling for beta testers. Meantime on the rental website specialist front Upad (who recently went national after a successful London only launch) have a copycat in Webresidential which offers properties in London, but appear to have launched with more of a wimper than a bang, hosting just 36 properties currently.
