About 6 months ago I noticed that there isn’t a definitive list of the top Property Blogs, so I am going to publish my own.
In the meantime Primelocation have given us all the opportunity to vote for our own choice of blog. After public nominations of over 100 blogs voting is now open for their Property Blog Awards.
We have until 6th February to vote on the six blogs which were shortlisted:
- Karen Haller;
- Moregeous;
- BuyingAgent;
- A Little Drop of Cognac;
- The House Historian
- Property Newshound
The choice is a very easy one for me because whilst I do read Moregeous and The House Historian occasionally and I think them both excellent blogs worth following, Tracey Kellet (Buying Agent) and Graham Norwood (Property Newshound) are my favourite Property writers. Graham’s blog features articles of the same high standard as his professional writing for Daily and Sunday Telegraph, The Observer, The Independent, The Guardian, The Financial Times and the Daily Mail and offers a range of comment on property news. I’ve been following Tracey’s writing on a couple of sites for over a year now, and although this particular blog is new to me, I wouldn’t miss a Tracey blog for the world. She is funny, irreverent, and yet so true, reading her blog is a great way to brighten your day.
I will be very happy to see either Tracey or Graham win, but I will be casting my vote for Tracey as I know it means a lot to her and as one of the country’s top property journalists I think Graham is already a winner. I guess I am voting for the amateur instead of the professional. Regardless of the outcome I think the writers of all six blogs should be very proud of their achievement in being shortlisted. Well done people!
and I would love it if you could take the trouble of commenting here telling us who you voted for and why.
The current position in the voting is as follows:

I voted as well – as you say some worthy writers but many are already well known and I am an avid follower of Tracey’s blogs as well as Graham’s. Although I chat with G regularly as you say he is well known and I read him a lot. But Tracey’s blog is newish and I started reading it since the beginning. I love her dry acerbic style, irreverent as you so rightly say but never impolite. She is a quick witted lady and her blogs, particularly the ones when she visits a variety of properties are funny, but they are really a window into what is happening on the ground for properties that people are trying to sell or that people are buying. Invaluable background for my work. But mostly so entertaining.
I totally agree Nick and Francoise. I have Graham’s Blog as a gadget on my home page as I wouldn’t want to miss anything he writes. Having now met him and put the face to the name I like him even more – he’s as smart and loveable as he comes over online, not to mention being a local lad!
But ultimately I want Tracy to win this for the same reasons as you. I love her style and she makes me laugh with relevant content – I also learn stuff from her wacky and witty take on the Property world.
I’ve only just found the Moregeous blog and it looks good, I will enjoy it but the other two light my fire more.
Yes – great blogs some of which I have not come across before and which are hugely inspiring!
Hi there Nick – I am looking forward to seeing your definitive list of property bloggers. We have had a stab ourselves – see the list at the bottom of the right hand side of the main UK Primelocation.com blog landing page. Nigel
No comment on blogs you recommended as not had a chance to check them out but used to stay at Pimlico as relatives had apartment there.
