We’ve had our welcome to WordPress & this is our first post. We start blogging with a dilema! Singular or plural? We are a small company, but large by the standards of UK private landlords, dedicated to providing quality affordable accommodation in London, & we are lucky to be based in one of the best locations in London – Pimlico. The idea of this blog is to talk about Pimlico, the things happening, what accommodation we have becoming available, & how you can get to be one of our tenants. The first dilema of the first blog is to decide whether we talk with our corporate face, or whether I fess up & say that the whole IT side is just me, & tell you what I am doing, rather than what we are doing.
The formal answer is that “we” are actually “I” trading as a sole trader, however tenants will probably interact with George far more than myself, or even one of our regular contractors. Expect Carol, Rosaleen, Miguel, Kevin, or Victor to get regular mentions in despatches, so I think I can be justified to use the royal we, especially as we are close neighbours to Her Majesty when she is at her own London Flat.
May all my dilemas be that easy. I’m going to talk however feels natural, so please don’t be confused if I leap from I to we & back again. I’m sure you will know what I mean. We are sure you will know what we mean.
