Westminster City Council have awards for people who are making a major difference to the lives of others.  The “Living City Awards” are our opportunity to celebrate those people who have given up their time to improve the lives of other people living in their area. Do you know someone in Pimlico giving their time to help others? From setting up sports groups and making sure public gardens are well looked after, to reading to older people and encouraging young people to get involved in positive activities, these are the activities that need recognition & reward.

If you know someone who has made a real difference in Pimlico, nominate them for an award and they could win a £500 grant for their organisation or to help them continue the good work they do. Plus they could get free expert advice and support to help expand or improve their service.

Categories for the awards are:

Making us healthier – celebrating those who help people in their area become healthier or more active.

Doing things differently – celebrating people who think of new, innovative ways to do things, to benefit their communities.

Bringing us together – celebrating those who work in their areas to break down barriers, bring different people and groups together and help create a sense of a safe, friendly neighbourhood.

Taking the lead – celebrating those who encourage their friends and neighbours to get involved in local activities, or act as role models or mentors for others in their communites.

Changing our neighbourhood – celebrating those who strive to for better services, a better environment, and a more pleasant neighbourhood for everyone to enjoy.

Working in partnership – celebrating those who combine their own individual effort with the expertise and resources of businesses and other organisations to achieve new or improved services in their area.
